描述
本册教材是"国际合作综合英语教学实验系列用书"第一册的下册（1B），适合实验班一年级下学期使用。在过去数年实验中，我们日益感受到系统地编制一套能充分体现实验理念的教材至关重要。本册用书正式我们根据五年来的实验成果及多种实验教材编写经验，历经一年的时间，数易其稿而成。 作为"综合英语教学实验"的专门用书，本册秉承实验宗旨，不过于注重词汇背记，而把培养学生语言能力放在第一位；更不强调机械的语法操练，而是注重轻松愉悦、生动活泼的语言习得过程；也不简单地片面追求一节课的所谓完整性，而是更强调贴近儿童生活和兴趣需要，最大限度地调动儿童的学习积极性。本册强调全英语教学，并根据目前儿童语言形成的需要提供相应量的内容和难度，以保证实验目标的实现，这是其他一般教材所代替不了的。根据我们的设计，学生学完本册（1B）后，可学习词汇600多个，句型100余个，听懂生活及课堂用语，并进行基本的生活对话；更重要的是，将使儿童对学习英语产生必要的认同和积极的兴趣。
