描述
根据国家教育部制订的基础教育阶段《英语课程标准（实验稿）》的精神，我们联合编写了这套《牛津初中英语》，供在小学已学过英语的初中学生使用。 《牛津初中英语》具有以下一些主要特点： 1． 按照任务型教学的原则设计语言实践活动。每个单元都围绕一个话题，让学生通过体验、实践、参与、合作、交流和探究等方式，学习和使用英语，完成学习任务。另外，每隔两至三个单元还安排了一个旨在提高学生用英语获取信息、处理信息、分析和解决问题能力的课题（Project），让学生综合运用在这几个单元中所学的语言知识、语言技能及学习技巧，以培养他们的口笔交际能力、动手能力、自主学习能力、创新能力及合作精神。 2． 内容联系社会生活，贴近学生生活实际，富有时代气息，体现时代精神，符合素质教育的要求；语言素材典型，语言情景真实，语言表达规范，语言现象再现率高，符合学习语言的认知规律。 3． 在编排体例上突破了传统模式，体现了语言教学的整体性和综合性。整套教材中，语言技能、语言知识、情感态度、学习策略和跨文化意识等有机结合，紧密联系，相互渗透，相互补充。
